Course Profile
English Linguistics: Theories, Interfaces, Technologies is a unique interdisciplinary undergraduate program taught in English. The study program is designed for candidates whose interests combine the English language and new technologies. Students of the program acquire advanced English language skills, knowledge of language theory, and a solid background in computer science. The program is supported by the project "UNIWERSYTET JUTRA - an integrated development program of Adam Mickiewicz University, Poznan.

Requirements under the Act on the Protection of Minors
It is a prerequisite for mandatory student work placements (internships) that the student meets the requirements set out in the Act of 13 May 2016 on Counteracting the Threat of Sexual Offences and the Protection of Minors, in particular to undergo verification in the Sexual Offenders Register and to submit information from the National Criminal Register with regard to specific offences, and in the case of students who are foreigners or who have resided in the last 20 years in countries other than the Republic of Poland, also to submit additional declarations, as well as information from the criminal records of other countries together with sworn translations. Failure to comply with the requirements set out in the above-mentioned Act will make it impossible to complete the compulsory student work placements and consequently to graduate.

Education Requirements
Set of documents
• photo file which will be used when generating the personal questionnaire
• a scan of the Matura certificate
• a scan of the supplement to the Matura certificate - applies to candidates who have increased the the Matura exam score or have taken the Matura exam in additional subjects
• a scan of the IB diploma - applies to graduates of schools belonging to the International Baccalaureate Organization (IB)
• a scan, of the certificate issued by the organisational committee of a given olympiad or competition - applies to candidates who are the laureats and finalists of olympiads and competitions
• a scan of statement by a statutory representative - applies to candidates under 18 i.e. people who as of October 1, 2025 are under 18 years old
• a document confirming knowledge of English at B2 level
Candidates with documents obtained abroad also provide:
• a scan of a foreign document, which is legalized or accompanied by an apostille, entitling the candidate to take up higher education studies in the country where the document was issued
• a scan of translation of the document into the language of the studies undertaken by the candidate, performed by a sworn translator entered into the list of sworn translators maintained by the Polish Minister of Justice, or certified by a Polish consul in the country where the document was issued
• a scan of the document recognizing the foreign certificate as equivalent to the Polish Matura certificate – in the case of candidates for first-cycle or long-cycle master's studies to whom this applies
• a scan of the document recognizing the foreign diploma as equivalent to the Polish diploma – in the case of candidates for second-cycle studies to whom this applies
• a scan of a document confirming the entitlement to study tuition-free – in the case of the foreigners concerned
Other Requirements
Foreigners applying for admission to this field of study who hold educational credentials obtained outside the EU, EFTA, or OECD countries (Australia, Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Chile, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Spain, Ireland, Iceland, Israel, Japan, Canada, Republic of Korea, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Latvia, Malta, Mexico, Netherlands, Germany, Norway, New Zealand, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia, United States, Switzerland, Sweden, Turkey, Hungary, United Kingdom, Italy) and who do not hold an International Baccalaureate (IB), a European Baccalaureate (EB), or a document recognized under an international agreement on the recognition of education (China, Libya, or Ukraine), are additionally required to take the entrance examination.
The purpose of the examination is to assess whether the applicant has the knowledge necessary to undertake studies in the given field, at the specified level and academic profile. The examination results in a grade of either “pass” or “fail.” Passing the examination allows the candidate to proceed to the next stages of the admission process, but is not tantamount to admission to studies. Failure to pass the entrance examination means the candidate is not admitted to the programme.
